“Heart In The City” Free Health and Fun Fair

First Presbyterian Church is again partnering with local health agencies and our Synod Mobile Health Van to provide a free Health & Fun Fair on July 25 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  Basic health screenings and referrals will be offered during the Heart In The City Health Fair in our Fellowship Hall.  At the same time, there will be a free Fun Fair going on in our church parking lot with food, games and prizes for all ages.

Church volunteers along with professionals from our Synod of the Covenant Mobile Health Ministry and Grace Health will  provide screenings  for hearing, vision, blood pressure, pulmonary function, glucose, skin, school sports physicals for kids up to 13 years old  and basic dental health.  Referrals to local health care providers will be made for  any participants who require further medical attention. Calhoun County Public Health Department will dispense free “Getting Ready for School” help including hearing and vision tests along with free or low-cost immunizations.   Information on healthy living, safety, substance abuse and recovery will be distributed.  Those completing the health fair screening stations will receive a free health kit gift bag.

The Fun Fair will take place in our parking lot behind the church off Frelinghuysen Street.  There will be games and prizes for all ages plus fun food including snow cones and popcorn.
