Weekly Devotional by Morgan Burns
“With everything that is going on in the world it can be hard to see a clear future or plan in place. I find myself struggling to see what God has planned for me and what I should do to make sure I am going on the right path. I recently came across a Bible verse, Jeremiah 29:11, which reads, “”For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” I sat there reflecting on what I read and realized that I need to have trust. If my plans, whatever they may be, fall apart then it falls apart. But more importantly, it falls apart into His hands. Hands that hold hope for me.
Here is a short prayer:
Lord, I find that I am stuck. Stuck in uncertainty about what to do or where I should be.
With the world around me, it’s hard for me to find hope that the choices I make are the right ones.
Lord, I am struggling with my trust and I ask for your forgiveness whenever I doubt the future you have planned for me.
Help me see you hold hope in your hands for me and that I can trust in the future You have planned for me, even when it does not seem clear at the moment.
Amen.”
