MLK, Jr. Prayer Brunch

All are invited to honor the legacy and memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at a community prayer brunch on Saturday, January 13 at 10:00 am in Fellowship Hall.

Hill Harper will be the guest speaker. Mr. Hill may be familiar to many of you as he is an award-winning actor (among his recent credits, “CSI, NY” and “The Good Doctor”), a humanitarian, best-selling author, entrepreneur, health and wellness ambassador/educator and philanthropist.
As we gather, let us contemplate the wisdom of Dr. King’s words from a letter he wrote while in a Birmingham, Alabama jail cell 60 years ago: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”
