Luke 2:8-12
ANNOUNCING JESUS BIRTH
How reassuring that when God’s angels proclaimed Jesus’ birth, it was to common shepherds in the fields guarding their flocks. Jesus did not need to impress kings, officials or the powerful . He was born in Bethlehem, in a most plain and simple way to show His connection to the people he came to redeem from sin. So, as the angels said to the shepherds, “Don’t be afraid, the Savior, the Messiah, the Lord has been born tonight in Bethlehem.”
Jesus came to save us and die for us, showing us how much He loves us. Hopefully we can share that love with others around us. Amen
Prayer
Thank you Jesus for becoming human and showing us your love for us. Help us to not be afraid of this world, but to be a blessing to all.
